Challenge 1, Days 3 & 4: Surviving the Weekend

I was a bit optimistic that Travis would write in an update. Maybe one day! For now, here's another one from yours truly.

Weekends always present such a HUGE challenge! For some reason, it is even tougher to be super healthy. Yes, we do get extra time to fix healthy meals and work out. But let's be real - it's so much more fun to go to the best bakery in town, sit on the couch watching movies, or spend a night out enjoying tasty cocktails. So what's a health-conscious person to do?

Willpower - find it!

What worked this weekend - which honestly does not always work every weekend - was sheer willpower. Since we are doing this challenge together and holding each other accountable, it was a lot easier to find that willpower.

I always heard that it was much better to try to be healthy when surrounded by people who were trying to accomplish the same goals, but as an only child, I never really thought much of it. I would go about trying to be healthy by myself while my close friends and family members would enjoy sleeping in instead of waking up to work out or eating amazing desserts. This time around with Travis, I am seeing such a huge difference! It really is better to have someone help and to help someone else on the road to fitness and health.
