Challenge 1, Day 13: Vitamix Love

A year ago, I was introduced to the glory that is the Vitamix. Never again will I use any other blender. Why? Well... here is my unsolicited Vitamix review and the rundown on this product.

Vitamix
Price: Prepare yourself... this is a pricey item to have in the kitchen. The introductory model (5200) retails for $450. I told you it was steep!

Other than the price, the Vitamix is FANTASTIC. It is serious about getting the job done. Making almond flour out of sliced almonds? No problem. And you just saved a whole lot of money that you would have spent on that ready-made bag at Whole Foods that costs $15. Those green smoothies you hear everyone talking about? Yup, it does that too. And it crushes those kale leaves, celery stalks, and spinach leaves so you're not chewing up a load of veggies and you can actually drink the concoction you spin up. How about those sweet potatoes you want to mash? Not an issue for the Vitamix, which can also make those incredibly fancy soups for Thanksgiving.

When I plopped down the money for my Vitamix (which I got for a nice discount at Williams-Sonoma), I realized it would be a huge investment. So well worth it.
